J.R.'s Eclectic Links Page

Hello!  I am creating this "links" page for pure fun. I originally made this page for my EarthLink page (which I have mirrored here on Bearclover.net).   I have become a web page and computer geek, and wanted to share some of my favorite links from the web.  I will be adding more links soon, there is always something new and exciting popping up! So without further ado, here are some links:

 Jerry Goldsmith (and film music):

(Jerry Goldsmith is a world-reknown film composer, whose credits include "Star Trek--First Contact" and, most recently, "L.A. Confidential" and "Small Soldiers".)

• GoldsmithOnline. A great site.I have created a Goldsmith page on Geocities.A nice Goldsmith memorial page, which has some RealAudio samples, and links to Amazon.com, where you can buy the CDs.www.filmtracks.com  Film music page.   Great resources.www.varesesarabande.com  Var�se Sarabande.  One of the biggest soundtrack labels out there.www.intrada.com  Intrada is a good recording label, and also an excellent resource for mail-ordering hard-to-find soundtracks.A midi file sample of Goldsmith's theme for "Air Force One" (the film starring Harrison Ford.) Get the soundtrack CD at Amazon.com. It sounds much better than this MIDI file. (Though the MIDI file is pretty great, really.)
• A Real Audio clip of Goldsmith's, Under Fire.  This is one of his best scores, and should have won the Oscar!  (He was robbed, I tell you, robbed!)
